This fish and chip restaurant is amazing. it was my first time there, and the experience was simply marvelous. The place was so packed I could tell the food was going to be great quality. The staff was so attentive and got our order precise. I live about two hours away, but I will definitely come back more often and bring my friends. There is a bar connecting this with a super selection of brews.
I was so excited to find this place in Summerville. I live an hour and a half away where there are no decent restaurants. So when we came down Charleston way we stopped in at this restaurant. The fish is to die for! We also bought the beef pies and sausage rolls and took them home to eat today. It is authentic British food and because I was raised with this type of food I was thrilled to find someone who knew how to cook it as well as my parents did. We will definitely be coming back!
My dish is a half serving! Amazing portions and fresh and hot!! Tartar sauce is the best. Pictures displays a full portion and a half portion. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Sweet tea is really good too. They need to compete in Summerville Sweet Tea festival.
I am new to the area and this was my first time trying Codfather. Without going into lengthy detail I ordered from the wrong store. This location made me feel right a home even though the error was my own. The fish n chips are amazing and the people are better.
Simply the best cod you can sink your teeth into! The batter is light and crisp. The cod is thick and incredibly fresh. A homemade tarter sauce that will win over the toughest critics. The chips are cut thick and perfectly fried. Be ready once your boxed dinner is set in front of you. It has come to you fresh from the fryer and is piping hot. On your table, you find a roll of paper towels, also a squeeze bottle of ketchup, a bottle of spicy ketchup, a bottle of malt vinegar, and salt and pepper. There is a bar area for those who are over 21. My hubby introduced me to this gem at their first place in North Charleston, where people lined up outside to be able to enjoy the fish and chips. The place was in an industrial area that you had to know about to find them. Now to my delight, Summerville is home to their second place in Nexton. So you need to go enjoy. Cheery-O
Best fish and chips I've had outside of England! Incredibly light and crispy batter and the tartar sauce will not be enough, I sugest to get extra! Everything was delicious! Highly recommended
If you haven't been here, what are you waiting for? I had the full order of fish and chips. Man was it amazing. Cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is great satvat the bar. Bartender was great, attentive without being in your space. I will continue to come back
Came in on a Tuesday at lunchtime. I was able to go right to the counter and order. I got a sausage roll and the world famous fish and Chips. The food came out hot and quick. I'm glad I found this location, I was going to the one in N.Charleston. This one is probably 30 minutes closer to the house. I think it took me 3hr to get here.
